This automatic battery combiner is suitable for small and medium sized boats and has a rating of 120 Amps. It can operate at 12 or 24 Volts DC. It automatically combines two battery banks when either of the batteries is being charged, and once the charge source goes away it separates the two banks again. The operation is completely automatic.

  • Tech Tip

The 7610 and the 7611 ACR's are almost identical and both do the same thing.  The 7611 allows one more function though if you connect the auxiliary priority connection.  It allows the 7611 to stay combined longer so you can tap some of the power in your start battery to run auxiliary loads.  It will still disconnect the two batteries early enough to prevent your start battery running down too low to start your engine, but it does give a bit more flexibility for smaller systems to use some of the power of the start battery.  See the manufacturers web page for more details
