Amp Hour Meters
Keeping accurate track of battery state of charge is essential for the high performance marine electrical system. Today’s expensive heavy duty batteries are too valuable to leave without proper monitoring. Traditional ways of assessing state of charge don’t always work with these batteries and more sophisticated measuring systems are now available at relatively low cost compared to the cost of the batteries they are looking after. It makes good economic sense to upgrade to a modern amp hour meter.
Amp Hour Meters keep track of current flowing in and out of a battery bank and use a sophisticated algorithm to read out the state of charge of the battery in Percentage Remaining and Amp Hours Remaining, They also display Volts and Amps, time to go, and Consumed Energy and keep track of Historic Data including Battery Efficiency, Average Discharge, Deepest Discharge, Number of Cycles, Overvoltage, and Undervoltage Alarms.
