Alternator temperature sensor for use with Max Charge or ARS5 regulators.  

 

The alternator temperature sensor is designed to prevent the alternator exceeding its rated temperature of 210 deg C   When used with the Max Charge and ARS5 regulators the output of the alternator is reduced by 50% until the temperature has returned within the parameters.

 

The alternator temperature sensor is a semiconductor device and is designed to bolt on to one of the case mounting bolts of the alternator. The wire length provided is the same length as the standard wire harness that comes with the regulator so that it can be incorporated into this harness.
