This is a 12 volt relay that can be configured to operate in a programmable manner. First it can be configured to operate as a stand alone 12 volt timer disconnect. When the timer is triggered it can connect a battery to a load for a pre-programmed time from 15 minutes up to 4 hours. The trigger can be any 12 volt signal or it can be set up to be voltage sensitive. This function of the device can then be further modified in the settings. The three behaviors that can be customized for the ATD by setting all six DIP switches on the back side of the device are connect time, disconnect voltage, and charge sense

Can be configured to be used as a combination of the following battery saving products:

Timer Disconnect
A 12V signal triggers the relay to connect battery power to devices.  When signal is removed the timer is activated and will disconnect devices after a preset time.  The Timer ranges from 15 minutes to 4 hours, the increments available are 0 seconds, 5 seconds, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours and 4 hours

Low Voltage Disconnect
Senses low battery voltage and automatically disconnects devices. Low voltage setting can be used in conjunction with Timer Disconnect. Low voltage will disconnect devices prior to preset time to preserve battery power.  The increments available are 11 volts, 11.5 volts or 12 volts.  This function can be disabled if required.

Automatic Charging Relay
Automatically combines two batteries when charging, and isolates them when discharging Single side sensing design only monitors the voltage of the start battery Ideal for auxiliary batteries that are AGM or significantly larger than the start battery. This function can be disabled if required.

Solenoid
12V signal will connect or disconnect relay without any time delay. This is achieved by setting the time delay to zero.

Detailed setup

This device has a lot of possibilities in how it gets used, the best way to understand the details is to read the instruction manual.
