This is the most popular Blue Sea Systems AC Circuit Breaker Panel and features all marine grade materials, tinned busbars, anodised finish, backlit labels, LED indicator lights, and comes with a starter set of 30 of the most commonly used AC labels.

Q: When reverse polarity is indicated, does this indicate a wiring error coming in from shore power? When reverse polarity is found what happens? Does the breaker open? Mike

A: Yes reverse polarity would normally mean a wiring error from shore power. The reverse polarity indication doesnt trip the breaker, it is a warning to you not to turn it on.

A: Yes but it is something you would have to do yourself. We don't supply it that way.

Q: Hello , are there any concerns or issues using this type of panel in a Camper Van conversion ? I'm a little concerned with the lack of wire restraints and being open on the back. I'm not sure what they do in the marine world , maybe it's because the boat is not metal , so there is less concern. Thoughts ? Thanks !

A: Because the standards for installation in RV's are not as developed as they are for boats a lot of people use the boating standards as a reference. The basic principles are the same. ABYC requires that this panel be installed in an area where a tool (like a screwdriver) is required to get access to the back of it. That means it wouldn't be possible to inadvertently open a locker and come across any bare connections. A back is required if the panel shares an area with a DC wiring meaning that if you open up the wiring compartment to work on the DC wiring you cannot come in contact with any of the AC wiring. A back is available for this panel, it is part number 4027. The chassis of the vehicle should be connected to the AC ground. Wires should be harnessed within 18" of the panel.

Q: Is it possible to get this prewired with two additional 20 amp breakers and another 15?

A: We dont sell this as a customized panel. You can easily do it yourself, its easiest to do before you install it as afterwards there are more wires to get in the way. All you need are the circuit breakers, the backlighting and indicator lights come complete. Its easy to do, just follow along with what was done before and be sure to tighten up the screws properly to avoid overheating at the connections.

Q: Is there a 60A double pole breaker I could use in that panel. I plan to use it as a sub panel from the hybrid inverter. The 60 Amps listed on your website is the one with the bolting poles instead of the small screws.

A: No, sorry. This panel takes A Frame breakers and the maximum size is 50 Amps. We have two blank panels available that take C Frame breakers. 8087 and 8088

Q: Hello, i want to use this panel in my Sprinter van. I will have a shore power and an inverter. Can I connect the shore power to the main, add a 30A breaker for the inverter and distribut from the inverter to the other circuits?
