On November 10, 2018, a fire broke out at the Blue Sea Systems Bellingham, WA facility resulting in a total loss of the building including the production area, office space, product, assembly fixtures and test equipment. Since then, a lot of work has been done to aid in the recovery plan. Here is the latest update as of January 22nd 2019
Blue Sea Systems is now in a new, permanent location: New address: 4600 Ryzex Way, Bellingham, WA 98226 (across the street from the previous building)
Building improvements are in process, tables, racks and work cells are being set up
Aggressive ordering of components occurred immediately following the fire and pallets have filled the manufacturing floor requiring additional storage
The repack Line including circuit breakers, fuses, and switches are up and running at full capacity. The Panel-Line for standard metal and custom 360 panels will be operational by January 25th. There is a backlog of 2,000 build hours for custom 360 Panels; additional resources will be added to reduce the backlog.
