Victron Energy VE Direct to USB interface cable. For use with BMV700 and BMV702 Energy meters. This cable is also used to programming MPPT charge controllers.
You can write your own software using the VE Protocol which is published at https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/VE.Direct-Protocol.pdf or you can download free sofware from the Victron website https://www.victronenergy.com/support-and-downloads/software/

This item comes in a packet which is approx 8 inches (200mm) square. The cable is just over 5 feet long (1.5 m)
