This high power ASUS USB-N14 WiFi adapter will give much better reception at long range when connecting a Victron Venus device to a wireless network. Just plug it in and connect to your local WiFi. Enter the wireless ID and Passwords using the Cerbo GX, Ekrano GX, Color Control GX, or Venus GX.

Does this come with the cord(s) and directions to connect to the CCGX?

A:
It comes with a USB cable to connect to your CCGX. There is no power cable because it is powered through the USB. It comes with a support CD which you could use if you were connecting it to a computer but which isn't needed for the CCGX. It should be plug and play, you have to select the SSID and enter the password of the WI FI server you are connecting to.

The Victron Energy BPP900200300 CCGX Long Range WiFi Module (ASUS USB-N14) is a plug and play WiFi extender for the Cerbo GX and Ekrano GX, as well as for the older Color Control GX, and Venus GX communication centers. In the case of the Color Control GX and Venus GX it adds WiFi Connectivity. In the case of the Cerbo GX and Ekrano GX it replaces the existing WiFi with a longer range version.
We found installing and using this to device to be totally seamless, plug and play experience. There is no need to read the instructions or to install the drivers that come on a CD. The drivers are already built into the Victron devices. Once we plugged it into the USB port of the Cerbo GX the blue light on the Asus module lit up. The only change we were able to see on the Cerbo was that the number of WiFi networks in range increased considerably. Once we connect to a WiFi network the blue light on the Asus started to flash.
Here is what we saw with the Asus connected. There are 23 networks visible.
And here is the view without the Asus. There are 17 networks available.
