This is a transformer for split phase output balancing. See the "additional information" tab for typical use scenarios. This is easily the most complicated item we sell and you will need to consult the instruction manual before purchasing to see if this is for you. It is not an isolation transformer.
The Autotransformer is pretty complicated. I tried to explain it a bit more in my Blog Post on the subject.
