This item is unsuitable for Air Shipping because it is heavy and tends to get damaged in transit. It normally ships on a pallet by LTL freight.

This inverter charger has two AC inputs and two AC outputs. Its integrated transfer switch will automatically connect to the active source. The output has a UPS functionality and the Quattro can take over the power supply to loads so quickly that computers and other equipment and not interrupted

Q: I have a 65' Cape Horn steel boat. The system is 60Hz and DC voltage is 24V. AC is 240v split. I want use two Quattro 24/5000/120's. Is there any way I could use the Quattros with 50Hz at the input and get 60Hz at the output? Thank you Art

A: The Quattros can accept as an input either 50 or 60 Hz and their inverter ouput is programmable and can be either 50 or 60 Hz. However when in shore power pass-through mode they can only put out the same frequency as the input power, they cannot convert it.

Q: Can this serve a 230v receptacle?

A: This is the 120 volt version and only puts out 120 volts. There is also a 230 volt version available. We dont have all the 230 volt versions listed on their site but they are available if you enquire.

For those of you with 120/240 volt systems you can use the 230 volt Quattro, adjust it to be 240 volts in the software, then pair it with a Autotransformer to produce a split phase 120/240 volt system.

Q: I’m looking at 24-5000 inverter chargers. What are the differences between the Multi Plus and the Quattro?

The MultiPlus has a single AC input and two AC outputs. If you have two power sources such as generator and shore power you have to provide an external transfer switch to manually select which input source to use.

The Quattro had two AC inputs and two AC outputs. The Quattro will automatically select the active input and so you can eliminate the need for a transfer switch and make operation more automatic and user friendly.

The two outputs have the same function in both cases. One output only works when an external power source is available (shore or generator) and one is available to work at all times (inverter, shore or generator)
