Victron Price Increase for China originated products

Dear Valued Victron Customer,

You have all been aware of the uncertainty surrounding US import duties for goods originating in all parts of the world. Of particular concern to the Victron Energy portfolio of products is the recent decision by the US Government to impose a 145% base tariff on goods manufactured in China.

While the resiliency of this tariff level is yet to be determined, it has already begun affecting shipments arriving in our US warehouses in the last 24 hours. Victron Energy has always strived for stable pricing whenever possible, while favoring price reductions whenever manufacturing costs can justify them.

We also have set up a diverse global manufacturing base that can respond quickly to changes in global trade policies. In this case, due to the large scale and swift implementation of these new tariffs, we are compelled to react to this drastic increase in the cost of importing our Chinese- manufactured products into the USA.

Effective immediately, any product with a Country of Origin of China is subject to a 30% price increase. The increase is reflected in your E-Order pricing per just now.

Backorders of the same items are also subject to a 30% price increase.

A list of the affected Victron Energy part numbers is attached. You can see the Country of Origin of a particular model to see if it is affected by this increase by clicking on the "Description" field in your E-Order account.

It should be noted that the prices on the remainder of our extensive power electronics product line including 120V Multis, Quattros, SmartSolar MPPTs, and Orion DC-DC Chargers is not affected by this cost adjustment.

The unknown duration and ultimate outcome of these trade policy disputes makes the future very difficult to predict, but we believe this initial reaction is a steady and reasoned one under these volatile circumstances.
