Batteries (Lithium Ion)
Released in April 2026, the Lynx Smart BMS NG firmware v1.17 improves DVCC charging control, resolving unstable behavior seen on some systems when regulating charge voltage. This keeps charging stable, prevents chargers from switching off unnecessarily, and maintains safe cell voltage levels.
Other updates include:
- The battery now remains at 100% SoC after a full charge until the voltage drops below the float voltage
- Includes Lithium NG battery firmware v1.03, fixing a communication issue that could require a hard reset
The update will also be available to download via the VictronConnect App shortly. Until then it can be downloaded from the Victron Professional Dropbox folder. It can also be installed remotely via the VRM Portal. Here is the text of the full change log:
10 April 2026
Improved DVCC charging control for Lynx BMS NG. Regulating the charging voltage using DVCC caused unstable control on some systems. The BMS now regulates the charge voltage in such a way that the charger no longer switches off unnecessarily and the cell voltages always remain within the safe range.
Fix the issue where the battery did not remain at 100% after a full charge. The SoC now remains at 100% until the voltage drops below the float voltage.
Includes firmware v1.03 for the Lithium-NG batteries, which resolves an issue where NG batteries were no longer communicating with the BMS, requiring a hard reset
