Victron MultiPlus and Quatro
Here is how to update the Firmware in your Victron MultiPlus or Quattro inverter charger. This is something you would only do if you had a good reason. Examples of a good reason include a new installation, an existing installation experiencing difficulties, or if you are trying to put these units together to work in parallel, split phase or three phase. Updating the firmware is like updating the operating system in your computer, its just not something you do every day or for no reason. This requires a password which is revealed in the video. To save me accessing my Inverter (its in a awkward spot) can I unplug the cable from the remote panel and plug that into the MK3-USB interface instead?

Yes you can disconnect the remote and connect the MK3-USB interface to the RJ-45 cable that goes to the inverter. During programming and firmware updating, the remote panel needs to be disconnected anyway. This is a good way to ensure that happens.
