This model is the replacement for
ORI241240021 which had an output of 40 amps.
DC-DC Converters are used to step up or step down DC Voltages. This model is a step down converter and is used to power 12 Volt devices on vehicles and boats with 24 Volt DC Systems. Its 60 Amp output makes it suitable for powering a variety of higher powered 12 volt devices including Satellite TV tracking systems, VHF radios, Stereos, Scanners, SSB's etc.

Tech Tip
This has a single stage output and the voltage is not adjustable. The other IP20 chargers in this series have an adjustable output voltage but not this model. If you are looking for a charger with three stage output and Bluetooth please go to our

Installation Instructions: Orion DC-DC converters, not isolated.
Select a cool, dry and ventilated area.
First connect the 'minus' supply cable to one of the minus terminals of the Orion. The three minus terminals are interconnected. (Please note that a bad minus connection could result in output overvoltage.
Connect the remaining cabling.
Leave the terminal jumper in place in the green plug for "always on" functionality or replace it with a remote switch if desired. See

The Orion is now ready for use. .
Important note: always use two parallel cables on
input, output and minus if the output current will
exceed 25A, use three cables if over 40 A.
