Small Case Alternators
Balmar XT and 6 series alternators provide a direct replacement for the small case alternators found on most 3 and 4 cylinder and some larger diesel engines. Typically the dual foot mount type is used on Yanmar and some Westerbeke and Lehman engines, and the single foot mount is usually found on Universal, Cummins, Volvo, Perkins and some Westerbeke and Lehman engines. In order to select the right model you first have to identify your mounting type. All these alternators are designed to be used with an external regulator. They are sold individually or as kits with regulator, temperature sensors and mounting hardware included.
