Transformers

Since the closure of Charles Marine the availability of transformers that comply fully with ABYC standards has been very limited.  The Victron Energy transformers that we sell do not have UL 1561 certifications.  The ASEA transformers we sell are not toroidal transformers but they do meet the ABYC standards.  As of now the selection is rather limited.  One company that does make toroidal transformers in a non-metallic case is Bridgeport Magnetics.  I cannot say if they meet the standards or not, we do not currently have the ability to sell these even though we have requested a dealership on numerous occasions.  The new standard will certainly have gone a long way towards making them closer to being ABYC compliant.
