Wakespeed’s latest release is built on real-world feedback. Firmware 2.6.1 and the updated Wakespeed App v1.11 deliver more precise regulation and broader system compatibility
Firmware 2.6.1 Highlights
- Sharper RPM Sensing: Improved stator-based RPM tracking for smoother, more responsive regulation.
- Secure Bluetooth Lockout gives the ability to disable Bluetooth while maintaining USB setup control
- Expanded System Support: Enhanced compatibility with multiple Victron Lynx BMS units for added redundancy.
- NMEA 2000 Current Sensing: Clear CAN-based alternator current measurement—no shunt required.
- Additional Fixes: Improved multi-regulator sync, expanded 11-bit CAN BMS compatibility, and more.
App v1.11 Enhancements
- In-App Fault Diagnostics: One-tap fault summaries with causes and corrective steps.
- Extended WiFi Coverage: Ideal for larger vessels, coaches, and off-grid power systems.
Wakespeed also made a collaboration with Predict Wind to make remote viewing possible. I haven't discussed this since most of our customers use the Victron Cerbo they already have remote viewing ability through the VRM app.
