Specially produced for Yanmar 3YM engines this 170 Amp dual foot mount alternator comes with an MC-618-H regulator and two temperature sensors, and is fitted with a K6 serpentine style pulley.

XT-DF-170-K6-3YM-KIT    This is a modified version of the standard XT-DF-170-K6-KIT and the alternator has a shorter than normal output stud.  This is because on the 3YM engine the alternator is mounted upside down and the positive output terminal would hit part of the engine block unless you had this modification. The stock alternator also has the same issue on this engine.  You still should put a rubber boot over the output terminal and made sure the output wire has circuit protection.  You will probably have to get a longer belt so make sure there is enough room around the engine.  Another (better) way to overcome this problem is to use the equivalent Arco alternator which has the terminal on the outboard side
