Questions & Answers
To make a Victron NG Battery System with built in redundancy it is possible to split your battery bank in two and have both banks power the same system. Each bank gets its own Lynx BMS and Cerbo GX. In the event one bank shuts down the other keeps working. Systems like this get two Cerbo GX's which both stay on all the time, even if one bank has shut down. To do this you need a diode in each Cerbo power wire so there isn't a cross connect between the banks via the Cerbo power wires. Details are in our Blog Post

Any small diodes can be used because the power consumption is low. We sourced these diode assemblies to make an easier way to mount the diodes. This product is a Mini diode assembly comprising a Mini 1 Amp 400 volt diode mounted in an inline holder that has 18 awg wires. The Cerbo AUX output already has a built in auto resetting circuit breaker of 1.1 Amps
The diode looks like a fuse but it isn't. The holder is a "Mini" fuse holder which is quite a bit smaller than the standard Automotive type.
