Q:
I want to use this to switch sources to a 30 AMP (main breaker) sub-panel with a dedicated 2nd 30 AMP line / shore connection plus have the ability to switch to the main panel 30 amp feed. Will this also support a 5 KW generator or do I need a switch rated at 50 amps for the genset since it's output is about 41 amps?

A:
Your generator is too powerful for this switch. You need to pick a switch that can handle the 41 Amps your generator produces.

Q:
Would I be able to use this switch in a "Reverse" configuration to connect one power source (220V) and be able to select between 3 different devices, i.e. an on demand water heater, induction cooktop and an incinerating toilet? All of the above devices are 220V and draw less than 30 Amps each.
