This kit includes an XT-170 variant for the new Yanmar Common Rail Engines The radial B+ post on the standard XT-170 interferes with the heat exchanger manifold on Common Rail engines, so Balmar have introduced this version with an axial post.  It comes with a special version of the K6 pulley to fit the spacing requirements of these engines

  • Special modification of standard 170 amp alternator for use with Yanmar Common Rail engine
  • Kit includes MC618-H regulator and two temperature sensors
  • 12 volt output at 170 Amps, 
  • Dual foot 3.15" ID Yanmar style mount. 
  • This is not an isolated ground alternator
  • K6 pulley for a 6 groove serpentine belt
  • Built-in backup regulator
The Max Charge regulator included with this alternator kit comes with a built-in program for LiFePO4  Lithium Ion batteries.
